The top pictures are before the catastrophic maiden flight and the pictures below are after the repairs just before my successful second voyage. This is my heaviest plane at 8lbs and is an impressive ship to fly!

I had a blast flying my first "60-size" plane and got a taste of some real power. After a learning curve, I managed to reduce 1/2 pound (8oz) in weight by changing some components.

In the Spring of 2002, I re-fitted my Arrow 3D with a MaxCim 13Y brushless motor. This power system spins a 16x10 APC e-prop on 18-cells for about 1 kilo-watt of pure thrills! Here are the new specs:

  • 1000 watts at 33 amps @ xxxxx RPM with 18-cells of CP2400SCR
